Afeni Shakur, Mother of Rap Legend Tupac Shakur, Passes Away at 69

Afeni Shakur has reportedly passed away at the age of 69. The mother of hip-hop icon Tupac Shakur, who passed away in 1996, is well known for being the muse of one of 2Pac's biggest songs "Dear Mama." According to NY Daily News, Afeni Shakur suffered a possible cardiac arrest and was pronounced dead on May 2 around 10:30pm.
